Former K/West APC Campaign DG, Hon. Olumoko Makes List of Omo-Atata Hall of Fame At Ekinrin-Adde Day 2024
The former Kogi West Director- General of APC Governorship campaign council in the 2023 election and ex Caretaker chairman of ijumu local government, Hon. Funsho Olumoko to be inducted into the Ekinrin-Adde Omo-Atata Hall of Fame at this year’s Awards-Night, a flagship of Ekinrin-Adde day celebrations scheduled for 22nd June 2024 .
This was disclosed by the National Publicity Secretary of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), Adewale Victor Adekanye.
Hon. Funsho Olumoko was born to late PA Olatunji Paul Olumoko and Mrs Comfort Bamitale Olumoko JP of Igaga Clan, Ohi Adde. He attended Local School Management Board (LSMB) between 1975 to 1980 before proceeding to the Community Comprehensive College, Ekinrin-Adde for his Senior School Certificate; he was a member of the Pioneer set that graduated from the school in 1981.
Honourable Funsho Olumoko attended Kwara State Polytechnic, where he obtained his Higher National Diploma in Marketing (Upper Credit) in the year 1993 before he proceeded for his one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Upon completion, he went back to school and acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from Bayero University, Kano.
He earned a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) in 2007 from the University of Calabar and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing from Nassarawa State University, Keffi, in 2021. His passion for education and leadership led him back to the classroom, where he obtained another Master’s degree in Political Economy and Development Studies from the University of Abuja.
He served as the Director of Socials for the Ekinrin-Adde Students’ Union and is currently a Patron of the Union. He keeps making significant contributions to the success of the union.
Hon Funsho served in numerous prestigious companies, which established him as a seasoned marketer and administrator with long years of experience. He meritoriously served in various capacities, ranging from marketing, administration, economics and politics.
He served as a Marketing Executive at Churchgate Group of Companies, where he honed his skills in strategic marketing and client engagement, United Distilleries and Vintners Limited, his exceptional managerial abilities were recognized which facilitated his progression to several key positions, including Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, and Assistant General Manager (North). His sojourn across the corporate world, empowered him with a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, sales strategies, and organizational administration. He is a fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria.

s a seasoned administrator and technocrat with extensive experience in finance, administration, insurance, and ICT. His dedication to humanity and commitment to quality service delivery propelled him into politics, where he served as Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State in 2007. His exceptional performance in this role led to his appointment as Liaison Officer 1 in the same local government in 2012 and later as Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Internally Generated Revenue.
During his tenure as Chairman, Olumoko served with dignity, integrity and outstanding capacity. He reconstructed and remodelled the secretariat blocks, transforming them into their current state. His efforts redefined the very essence of the local government system, making it responsive to the grassroots and well positioned to compete with other modern local governments. He empowered both the old and young across Ijumu and provided infrastructural projects to every community in the local government. His tenure as the local government caretaker chairman unified the people and gave them a sense of belonging. His projects spanned various sectors and reached all parts of the community. His humble service to the people earned him the title of the architect of modern Ijumu.
Due to the need to hone his knowledge, he attended different courses and trainings both home and abroad, as a result of which he built a repertoire of knowledge across several segments of the economy. He is currently undergoing his Doctor of philosophy in Elections and party politics at the Federal university Lokoja.
Honourable Funsho Olumoko is a great achiever, philanthropist, and an influencer who has immensely contributed to the development of his people through the Ogidi Omo Movement which he initiated and founded. His Name resonates positively with the people at the grassroots especially within the Okun Nation.
He is presently in the service of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation where he doubles as Assistant General Manager (Marketing) and the Special Assistant to the Managing Director/CEO.
He is happily married to Olubunmi Elizabeth and the union is blessed with children.
