Ijumu LGA Caretaker Chairman Starts Assessment Tour of State-Owned Schools in Iyara.

To Partner Educational Consultant to Revamp Education

The caretaker Chairman Ijumu LGA, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna DSTV has commenced the implementation of his plan to improve the quality of education in basic schools in the local Government.

To this end, the Caretaker Chairman visited St John’s RCM Primary School Iyara to physically assess number of personels and the state of facilities.

The Caretaker Chairman restated his commitment to improve Education in the state owned public schools and said immediate repairs and rehabilitation of dilapidated facilities and recruitment, and training of teachers would be the first phase of the plan to strengthen the public schools, pointing out that he wants to public schools to compete with Private schools standard.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Ayodele blessing conducted the Transition Caretaker Chairman and his entourage round the school, explaining the challenges posed by not having enough teachers and and facilities to pupils.

Mrs Ayodele blessings appreciated the Caretaker Chairman for the visit saying it’s a thing of joy for the school as the caretaker Chairman is a product of the St John’s RCM.

Mr Yori Kola, an Educational Consultant, who owns a private school in Lokoja, Abuja and Ghana, while responding, appreciated the Caretaker Chairman for his love for Education, reiterated his commitment to involve the school to 21st century.

He said his partnership was to collaborate with the teacher, bringing out the best from them and to impact the pupils.

Mr Oladimeji Olushola, who spoke on behalf of the Education Secretary Ijumu LGA, thanked the Caretaker Chairman for coming up with this idea, urged him not to relent in his quest to revive Education.
