“Kogi State, we are too blessed to be poor,” Melaye declared, rallying his audience. “We are going to restore Ajaokuta Steel by the grace of God. Ajaokuta Steel was established by the late Sir Sardauna Ahmadu Bello. Ahmadu Bello is not from Kogi State, not even from the North Central, yet he came to establish Ajaokuta and Itakpe Iron Ore.”
