Toan Tricycle Union Confirms Legal Operation of Members in Okun Land as New Excos Are Elected

In a significant development for the transportation sector in Okun land, the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) has confirmed the legal operation of its members. The announcement came as the kogi state chapter  of TOAN celebrated the inauguration of newly elected executives in Kabba, garnering support from colleagues and stakeholders alike.

The inauguration ceremony was a memorable occasion for TOAN members, marked by the solidarity of the kogi state chapter with their counterparts in Okun land. The event saw the presence of key figures from TOAN, as well as local government officials and traditional rulers, underscoring the union’s growing influence in the region.

The introduction and expansion of tricycle services in Kabba-Bunu have significantly reduced transportation costs within the town. This development has been particularly beneficial for students attending Kogi State University in the Kabba area, offering them a reliable and affordable means of transportation.

The Chairman of the TOAN kogi state chapter Alhaji. Abdulharam idris emphasized the unrestricted operational boundaries for tricycles in the Kabba-Bunu branch, highlighting their capability to transport passengers beyond the town limits. This flexibility is expected to enhance mobility and connectivity within and around Kabba-Bunu.

Expressing his gratitude, the Chairman acknowledged the invaluable support from traditional rulers and the local government Chairman, Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael. Their contributions have been pivotal in enabling the union’s operations in Okun land.

Mr. Amupitan Olorunshogo Edward, the newly elected Chairman of the TOAN Kabba-Bunu branch, expressed his appreciation for the support received from his colleagues. He called for continued cooperation to ensure a successful tenure. Addressing the press, Mr. Amupitan attributed his success to divine grace and the unwavering support and prayers of his wife.

The newly elected executives of TOAN Kabba-Bunu branch are as follows:

1. Amupitan Olorunshogo Edward – Chairman

2. Abejide Abiodun – Vice Chairman

3. Irewole Owotunse – Financial Secretary

4. Omotugba Femi – Treasurer

5. Joshua Femi – Public Relations Officer

6. Adeniyi Adesoji Stephen – Road Task Officer

7. Alade Samuel Haastrup – Discipline Officer

All elected members were awarded certificates, officially recognizing their new roles.
