Ekinrin Adde Day: Ijumu LG Caretaker Chairman Harps on Promoting Culture, Tourism For Unity, Job Creation
The Transition Caretaker Chairman Ijumu LGA, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna DSTV on Saturday, 22nd, June, 2024, joined dignitaries to grace this year’s Ekinrin Adde Day.
The event, which was organised by Ekinrin Adde Community Development Association, (EACDA) in collaboration with Olu Adde in Council was aimed at celebrating the cultural heritage the Community, fund raising for Community development, confirment of Awards and Chieftaincy Titles to some distinguished personalities and celebration of new yam festival.
The Transition Caretaker Chairman while delivering his address, reiterated that the occasion was a testament of Unity, resilience, and the strong bonds that join the people together.
The caretaker Chairman further urged the good people of Ijumu Local Government Area to renew their zeal to build a better future for the Local Government that posterity will be proud of.
He emphasized the need for continued collaboration aimed at promoting peace, progress and development.
Alhaji Haruna lauded the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his pragmatic approach to governance of the State especially in the areas of Security and Agriculture.
It will interest you all to know that our amiable Governor, His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has confronted insecurity by providing five security patrol vehicles in each of the local governments of the state and recruited 50 hunters in each of the local government in the state.
The event was attended by representative of the Governor, Elder Joel Salifu, the Deputy Governor, Chief James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency at the green chamber, Arc. Salman Idris, member representing Kabba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency, both at the green chamber among others.
