Caretaker Chairman, Kabba/Bunu LGA Receives His Handover Note, Ordered The DLG To Issue A Circular Mandating All Local Government Staff To Resume Their Duties.

In his courageous spirit, sheer determination and unparalleled commitment to the speedy development of Kabba/Bunu LGA. The Chairman, Hon Zacchaeus Dare Michael has hit the ground running in his separate engagements, paid a familiarization visit to the Police Area Command, Kabba.

This is coming barely after two days of his inauguration.

In his remarks, the chairman, Hon Zaccheaus Dare Michael emphasizes on his resolved to always take the security of lives and properties of his people as a top priority.

In his words, “I have decided to make this point my first official engagement because the issue of security is a collective work. We can only achieve meaningful developments under a secured atmosphere. So, please identified any area of flashpoints that may serves as a bane towards achieving your goals. We will always look forward to partner with you in our bids to have a secured and thriving society”, the chairman said.

In his response, the Area Commander, ACP, Mr Godspower Origho, thanked the Chairman and his entourage for finding time to familiarize with the command despite his short assumption in office.

“Although, there’s no free crime society in any part of the world but we will redouble our efforts to see that Kabba/Bunu local government can remained a crime free society” he said.

Also, today at Kabba/Bunu LGA Secretariat, Hon Zaccheaus Dare Michael, officially received the handing over note and also held his maiden meeting with Head of department’s and principal officers of the local government.

During the meeting, the DLG, Mrs Olorungbogun in her opening speech described the chairman, Barrister Zaccheaus Dare Michael as a knowledgeable and sincere individual that the passion, commitment, able spirit and progressive minded leader the local government has been yarning for years just came this time.

She thanked His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON for gifting the local government a thoroughly breed, workaholic, intelligent and comrade of great track records.

She also expressed the chairman’s preparedness to bring the desired transformation to the local government.

The chairman, Hon Barrister Zaccheaus Dare Michael in his response “let me first of all acknowledged the significant role of our great party (APC) being the veritable platform in which we use to assume this our present position. We promised not to let the party down. However, our government is going to be a government of restoration, the deep sense of my mission for this local government is to restore back our lost glory. Don’t get intimidated by my strong voice when it comes to addressing issues. We are here to serve and not to intimidate you. It is going to be a concerted efforts in taking our local government to the next level. My stay will be interactive, i won’t be a diaspora chairman. I won’t be self serving or self centered. My antecedents as a student leader and at the Kogi State Disability Agency speaks volumes. I’m ready to surpass that antecedents here in this local government. I’m aware of some illicit extortions and loopholes in this local government. We would critically look into it because, we need to return sanity and integrity into the system. Our government is ready to partner with all departments, so that we can be proactive and result -oriented”, the chairman stated.

The HOD of Agric, Mallam Adino, on behalf of the management show forth their appreciation to the Chairman, Hon Zaccheaus Dare Michael for his warm visit.

“May Almighty Allah gives you strength, wisdom and resources, so that Kabba/Bunu LGA can be reform and better than before. I want to admonish our chairman to always have a strong synergy with the DLG and the management, we’re also pledging our unalloyed loyalty”, he said.

In a swift response to the above statement, the chairman, Hon Zaccheaus Dare Michael said “I would thoroughly and carefully study this document, we had already set up a property recovery committee and internally generated revenue/harmonization committee, which is going to be headed by a seasoned legal luminary Barrister Emmanuel Boluromi. We’re going to beam a search light on some of the activities of the past. Although, we’re not here to witch-hunt or indict anyone but we will take a decisive and informed decisions”

“To begins the transformative process, I ask the DLG to issue an urgent circular to all departments mandating all staffs to resume in their various offices next.
