Kabba-Bunu APC Chairmanship Hopeful, Hon. Arokoyo Segun Joel, on Thursday, urged party faithfuls in the local government not to make the mistake of giving the party’s ticket to political neophytes.
The popular Kabba-Bunu born politician and business tycoon, referred to as the ‘Alabiye’, stated this at the APC secretariat in Lokoja, when he visited the executive members of the party in the area to interact with them on his ambition to govern the local government come 2024.
Arokoyo was received by a large crowd of party supporters who throng to the party secretariat and chanted ‘Alabiye’ to the admiration of onlookers and passersby.
He said If given the mandate to fly the party’s flag and elected as chairman his administration will address dearth in social security amenities and open up Kabba-Bunu to massive investment and development.
While addressing party faithful, he said, “You cannot compare me with Mr. A or B. They are newbies in politics, don’t make the mistake of giving your votes to unpopular candidates. We need an experienced and popular candidate that can take on the already well established development stride of Hon Olorunleke Moses and APC.
“A man who has been consistent and upsetting some Kabba-Bunu indigent Students for 5years. This shows my commitment and desire to impact the lives of Kabba-Bunu people if given the opportunity to lead the local government as chairman in 2024. If you vote and give me your ticket you have voted for your future and your children’s future. I’m the only one that can nail the underdevelope coffin Kabba-Bunu.”
He lamented that his several attempts to govern Kabba-Bunu had been frustrated by some factors and enemies who have continued to hold the local government by it’s jugular and appealed to the party leaders to support his quest to emerge the candidate of the party.
