Your Fight Against GYB, Ododo And APC Will Remain Fruitless, Channel Your Energy Towards Party’s Victory – Abraham Jacob Counsels Senator Adeyemi
July 13th, 2023.
Following the dismissal of Senator Smart Adeyemi’s case against Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressive Congress by a Federal High Court in the Federal Capital Territory on the grounds of lack of merit as ruled by Justice J.K Omotosho, a stalwart of the All Progressive Congress in Kogi State, Hon. Abraham Jacob has counselled the embattled senator to sheath his sword, climb down from his high horse and work for the victory of the party in the November 11 gubernatorial election, insisting that Ododo’s mandate as the gubernatorial candidate of the party, is not just a decision of majority of the card carrying members of the party during the party’s direct primary election, but a divine mandate that will eventually witness landslide victory at the general poll come November 11th, 2023.
According to Abraham, Ododo is not a handpicked candidate, he is the choice of the majority and this has been made clear enough by the court of law which remains the last home of hope for the common man.
He went further to admonish Senator Smart to desist from fighting Governor Yahaya Bello, a governor he described as a political helper of the Senator, stressing that at the point where the Senator was almost losing grip of political relevance both at the state and National level, governor Yahaya Bello lifted him into political limelight again. Hence, the obvious actions of the senator is only but one of ingratitude to both the governor and the party.
The concerned party stalwart maintained that the Senator’s fight against Governor Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State Chapter of The All Progressive Congress, will remain fruitless.
“One would think that after the dismissal of the Senator Smart’s case challenging the emergence of Ododo as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress by Justice Omotosho of the Abuja Federal High Court, for lack of merit, he would climb down from his high horse, accept the court’s judgment and work with the party to coast to landslide victory, it is unfortunate that the Senator has further taken steps to Appeal the judgment.”
“It should be noted that the Senator is only exhibiting the traits of a clout chaser for if he thinks he can fight the same system and structure that brought him out from his political exile back to political relevance, such a thought will remain fruitfulness. This is because the system is more than him”. Abraham noted.
For emphasis sake, the party faithful reiterated that the All Progressive Congress will record a wide margin convincing victory at the November 11 general poll and this victory will further justify the ruling of Justice Omotosho.
Abraham further tasked the Senator to desist from misinforming, misleading and misguiding the public with his untrue claims that APC gubernatorial primary was not conducted in the state. An exercise he wholeheartedly participated in and gallantly lost at the poll to Ahmed Usman Ododo who enjoyed the votes of majority of the card carrying members of the party during the direct mode of primary election. He maintained that just like the federal High Court already stated, such claims from the Senator remains criminal in nature especially as he insist on the claims that results of the primary election which produced Ahmed Usman Ododo were forged and falsified. He urged the Senator to desist from dragging the integrity of the party on the mud, stating that the Governor, the party and its gubernatorial candidate remains too focused to be distracted.
