Uromi Black Thursday: NYCN Spokesman Commiserate With Victims, Condemn Bank Robbery.
The Public Relations Officer, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State, Comrade Charles Osagie has expressed his disappointment at Thursday’s banks robbery at his home town Uromi, in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The youths spokesman condemned the attack which he described as a sad event carried out to cripple social and economy activities in one of Edo State’s most commercially vibrant towns.
Mr Impact as fondly called, while commiserating with the families who lost loved ones in the sad act prayed for the repose of their souls. He also commiserated with the Onojie of Uromi, HRH Zaiki Anslem Eidenonijie, offering prayers for God’s continuous protection on the good people of Uromi and Esan land.
He urge youths to take into meaningful and impactful ventures and not embrace crime as a way of life or means of survival. He called on the Government of Edo State to swiftly swing into action and fish out the perpetrators of this heartless incident for them to face the wrath of the law. Noting that their crime has increased the level of insecurity of lives and properties, unemployment, poverty, loss of human resources, reduction of the level of development, permanent disability on victims, further wastage of state resources and many other ills.
The youth Comrade also charged all indigenes and residents of Uromi to remain calm as he assures of his believe that the government would do all to bring the criminals to book, urging them to go about their lawful duties.
He further advised the good people of Uromi and Esan land to be vigilant, weary of strangers and report any suspicious person or gathering to the nearest police station.
