One of the aspirants eyeing the Ondo State House of Assembly slot under the banner of People Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Inaolaji Ayodeji, popularly known as ‘O “Jessy’ had earlier today made formal declaration to vie for the position currently being held by Honorable Festus Olarewaju Akingbaso Fessywest.
The event, which took place at the Idanre Local Government PDP Secretariat along Ijomu Road, Idanre, was witnessed by the members and the Executives of the party in the Local Government including Hon. Adekunle Akinlalu, alias, “Gay”, the PDP Chairman in Idanre Local Government who assured that there will be level playing field for all aspirants and saw the formal declaration in presence of all as evidence that Mr. Inaolaji Ayodeji is truly a member of PDP as against insinuations that he was a member of another rival party. He used the opportunity to call on all Idanre sons and daughters, of voting ages to get duly registered so as to be able to vote in future elections.
Mr. Inaolaji Ayodeji alias, “Omo Alhaja” thanked all those who had been running the affairs of the party and promised that he would never disappoint them if given the opportunity to serve the people as he will bring his knowledge, experiences and connections with friends and entrepreneurs to give Idanre a wonderful facelift and make it a land where there will be rewarding benefits and dividends of democracy for the people. He lamented that both agricultural and natural resources available in Idanre are being wasted or currently being underutilized.
He sited his previous attempts to help in industrialization of Idanre Land which was sabotaged by political rivalry and unnecessary bureaucracy as he advised that continuation of policies and projects of previous administrations by succeeding ones as this will reduce wastages. He round off his speech by assuring the gathering that he would take whatever decision or choice made by the party as sacrosanct because he won’t see the election as a “do or die” affair.
Mr. Idowu Akintade, Idale Ward Chairman described Mr. Inaolaji as an excellent candidate worth presenting. He also pleaded that he should be given the slot because Idale Quarters had never held such a position before. In like manner, Hon. Abiodun Adesoji alias “Fabro” said he had decided to come back into politics because of the sterling qualities of Mr. Inaolaji which he saw as outstanding and enviable.
Mrs Toyin Akintelure, the Local Government Woman leader saw the aspirant as a nice and kindhearted young man who used his resources to erect solar powered streetlights in their neighborhood and so prayed for his success. Pastor Ayodeji Adeuti “Agbaye” called on party leaders to make good choice as he said Mr. Inaolaji is young in age but mature in experiences of life and exposure, which will make him ideal for the House of Assembly slot for Idanre Local Government Constituency.
