Caretaker Chairman Lauds Gov. Ododo’s Proactive Intervention in Making Kabba Bunu Secured.
The Caretaker Chairman, Kabba Bunu LGA, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael has appreciated the proactive intervention of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo in making Kabba Bunu local Government safe.
Barr. Dare made the disclosure following a meeting he facilitated with the Assistant Commissioner For Police in charge of Mopol 70, Kabba.
The meeting which was at the instance of Gov. Ododo, was to seek why in spite the location of the Mopol base, the area sometimes comes under threats by kidnappers and criminal elements.
The Caretaker Chairman who said the meeting was directed by the Governor was to find out what the challenges were of the Police with a view to addressing it.
The Chairman expressed worries with insecurity on the Kabba Okene, Kabba Iyara, Kabba Lokoja, Kabba Isanlu, Kabba Omuo, said the meeting is with the view to finding how it can be addressed and properly manned, called for a budget as requested by the Governor.
The Caretaker Chairman thanked Gov. Ododo for all his intervention which has made Kabba Bunu LGA secured, pledged his unalloyed and total support to the people of Kabba bunu people.
Speaking at the meeting, the ACP Inemeka identified issues of logistics, pointing out that the permanent site of the Mopol base is not fenced, no light, with faulty Armored Purpose vehicles, requested the use of drones.
“Mopol 70 squadron with operational base in Kabba has the mandate to secure all the seven local governments of Kogi West senatorial district and they have all the personnel and equipment requirement to defeat those criminals elements in our axis but we are handicapped due to some logistics, expressed optimism that the governor has promised to intervene to enhance their operations immediately”.
“The commander thanked the governor for prioritizing the security of lives and properties of the good people of the state and promised to man all the flash point of those criminal elements with the singular aim to smoke them out from their hideout”
