Governor of Kogi State Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, Implements Measures to Alleviate Hunger in the State.
As part of measures to implement his campaign promises aimed at elevating poverty and reduce hunger in the state, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo the Executive Governor of Kogi State ordered the immediate purchase of over 40 trucks of 5Okg bags of rice to be distributed to Kogites across 21 Local Government Areas in Kogi State.
Over 20 trucks of 50kg bags of rice already arrived and offloaded at Muhammad Buhari Square in Lokoja, Kogi State.
This proactive intervention underscores the state government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations amidst the escalating economic challenges faced by citizens nationwide. Unlike Federal Government interventions, this initiative is a Kogi State Government driven effort aimed at easing the burden of hunger exacerbated by soaring food prices in the market.
