The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, who doubles as the Turaki of koton karfe, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has expressed his heartwarming felicitations to the 27th Ohimege-igu of koton karfe, His Royal Majesty, Seidu Akawe Salihu on his glorious ascension to the throne of his forebears and presentation of the staff of office by His Excellency,Governor Yahaya Bello,CON
The Honourable Commissioner, in his congratulatory message, released through his media assistant, described the new Ohimege-igu as a personality with immense value to humanity, strength of character, and impeccable honour, which underscores the appropriateness of his choice to ascend the prestigious throne of his forefathers. His lofty antecedent as a man of the people with great affinity for the advancement of the culture and tradition of the Kingdom makes his ascension widely acceptable, he stated
In his words, “As the holder of an important title in the kingdom,Turaki of koton karfe, it behoves of me to always seek and press towards the development and greatness of the land and people. I can say confidently that the ascension of HRM, Dr, Seidu Akawe Salihu, to the throne and presentation of staff of office will open a new vista of development and progress in the Kingdom, because we have a round peg in a round hole as our royal father.”
Asiwaju said he’s convinced beyond any doubt that the kingdom under the traditional leadership of HRM, Seidu Akawe Salihu, will witness profound developmental strides owing to his cognate leadership experience and sterling qualities, but he, however, harps on the need for the new Ohimege-igu to commit to the Unity of the people, preach love and harmony at every instance, saying, only then there can be a lasting peaceful coexistence that will give birth to the desired socio-economic paradigm shift within the Kingdom
