The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the November 11 2023 election in Kogi State, Elder Leke Abejide, has reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure that Ajaokuta Steel Company, Limited becomes a reality, during his time.
The ADC flag bearer disclosed this during an interactive session with Party leaders and community stakeholders in Adogo, Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
He noted that the company has the potential to fulfill the dream of producing local steel and iron in the country.
According to the governorship hopeful, “As entrepreneurs, we will encourage partners with the relevant knowledge that is engaged to run the project effectively.”
Elder Abejide pointed out that his team would put in place a workable formula to actualize the dream of technological advancement of the state and the country.
“Your votes are important to us, just as our performance is equally key to our collective future and that of the company,” he asserted.
Elder Abejide further assured the community of adequate security and protection for both the investors and the workers.
The ADC governorship campaign is on tour of the 21 local government areas in the state in its bid to take win power, at the expense of the ruling party in the state.
On the campaign trail are the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party Dr. Omede Idris, chairman of the campaign Council, The Director General, and the other party stalwarts in the state
