Let me begin by thanks and praises to the Almighty God who has given me the grace to stand before you today to present the 2023 Estimate .

Today marks yet another milestone in the life of the present Executive Council and in particular the socio-political Development of our dear local Government in General.

I am Exceedingly honoured to submit to you for Legislative action, the second estimate of this administration. I therefore thank the people of Yagba West LGA who has considered us worthy and His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kogi State His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for facilitating our election into irrespective positions.

My dear Council leader, distinguish council members we have endeavour to execute the budget of the outgoing year optimally inspire of the enormous challenges and we are glad to report that we have recorded modest achievements in the areas of Security, Education, infrastructure, Civil servants welfare and agriculture. These achievements would not have been possible without the supports of all the Stakeholders. We are therefore expressing our appreciation to the Legislative, the Executive and the Management.

Meanwhile the administration intend to spend the sum of Two Billion, three hundred and seventy million nine hundred and Eighty three thousand ,six hundred and fifty naira (#2,370,983,650)only in the next fiscal year.

The #2,370,983,650 is higher than the preceding budget by 2.63% of this figure One billion ,five hundred and fifty million seven hundred and Ten Naira ( #1,550,450,710) as recurrent expenditure while Eight hundred and twenty million, two hundred and seventy-seven Thousand, Nine hundred and forty Naira (#820,277,940) goes for capital expenditure .
On the Revenue side, we hope to fund the budget with revenue accruing from the Federation state account , value added tax and internally Generated Revenue.

Dear Council leader, distinguish members of the council the outgoing year witnessed multidimensional challenges which include but not limited against the fight against kidnapping, arm robbery, farmers/herders clash and communal crisis. We hope to work assiduously to tackle challenges ahead in the coming years . We shall equally work to consolidate on our achievements and expand the frontiers of Development in all spheres .
I shall not end this short address without acknowledging only again the coorperation and partnership of the Legislative, the loyalty and commitment of the council, the understanding and perseverance of the management staff and the support of all the Stakeholders.
Finally, I trust that the budget proposal shall receive expedited action from the Legislative so that we can hit the ground running in the New Year.
