COVID-19:  HON MOSES SUNDAY DAVID SSA ON SECURITY MATTERS FOR MOPAMURO LGA FLAGGED OFF CASH TRANSFER DISBURSEMENT TO HOUSE HOLDS IN MOPAMURO LGA.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters in charge of Mopamuro Local Government, Hon. Moses  Sunday David, flagged off the disbursement of conditional cash transfer (CCT) to the less privileged persons in the local government to cushion the effect of the ongoing partial lock down due to Covid -19 pandemic in mopamuro.
Each benefiting household is to get #20,000 cumulatively for the months of January  to April, 2020.
He explained that the programme was targeted at the extremely poor, vulnerable and aged citizens to provide them access to some forms of monthly income in addition to training them for a defined period in order to uplift their livelihood.
Hon. Moses, who headed the committee presented the fund to some of the beneficiaries at Okedigheghe  Odole Mopa today, expressed satisfaction at the successful implementation of the scheme.
The desk officer in charge of Mopamuro, Mr. Tope David Agbona said in accordance with the prevailing covid-19 , they have decided to discongest the crowd by four payment points.
” All of these measures clearly score government’s good faith and commitment to the welfare of the people high.
“Let us stay at home and maintain social distancing until it is safe to resume normal life and day to day activities” the SSA said.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the event commended the federal, state and local governments for the gesture, promised to spend the money judiciously.
Mrs. Adeyemi, a petty trader, said she would use the money to expand her business and amend her children school uniform.
