Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Evang Kingsley Fanwo has urged the people of the state to be hopeful of an end to coronavirus pandemic shortly; praying that the siege will soon be over.
In his goodwill message to christians and the entire people of the state at Easter, Fanwo admonished the good people of Kogi State to cheer up for better times ahead.
He encouraged the christians to keep faith in the ressurection of Jesus Christ, which is significant for hope of eternity for mankind, and believe that God will put an end to the scourge presently.
He also urged them to use the period to pray for the mercy of God over the entire human race and the continual protection of Kogi State from Covid-19.
Fanwo admonished the people to obey the partial lockdown order in the state by maintaining social distance, sanitising their hands and keeping the celebration low key in their various homes.
He urged the people of the state to imbibe the life of sacrifice as demonstrated by Jesus Christ; saying christians should share their foodstuffs with those who have none in order to ensure the death of Christ does not amount to vanity.
