NYCN EDO STATE EASTER MESSAGE.

As Christians all over the world celebrates the commemoration of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ today, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State led by Comrade Osahon Obasuyi as the Chairman expresses his gratitude to God for giving up His son for the sins of mankind. Felicitating with Christians, he urged the youths amongst them to continually apply the lessons of the just concluded lent in their day to day lives.
The Chairman, specifying this through the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Charles Osagie, enjoined the Christian youths to imbibe the virtues of love, peace and sacrifice, which were the attributes of Jesus Christ. He reminds the Edo youths particularly, of the need to emulate the impactful life of Christ; as it was in His youthful days that He did all His exploits which has kept His name as the most relevant till date.
He described Easter celebration as the foundation of Christianity, and encouraged Christians to uphold the significance of the Lenten season which comes with the value of repentance, self denial and prayer.
Comrade Obasuyi asks that young Christians should intensify prayers to God to heal the world of the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging nations and killing it’s citizens as various governments strives on their parts to control the spread of the virus.
The Chairman maintained that the significance of the suffering and death of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary should guide the life of every true young believer, and urged all the faithful in the state to rededicate themselves to service to humanity and rebuilding of their faith in Jesus Chris whose promise of total salvation endures forever.
As he felicitates with Christians, especially the concerned faith based Voluntary Youth Organizations affiliated to the NYCN in Edo state, he restates the continuous need for simple personal hygiene and adherence to precautionary measures in order to help flatten the curve of Corona Virus in Edo State, as they celebrate.
“Happy Easter to all Edo youths at home and in diaspora”, he declared.
