We’re all grappling with a new reality. COVID-19 is confronting families with a rapidly spreading infectious disease in our own communities. It’s a stark reminder that outbreaks can happen in any country and, in an interconnected world, an outbreak anywhere is a threat to communities everywhere. This moment reveals what is at stake when we do not have the protective shield of immunization. A vaccine is not yet available for coronavirus but we do safe and effective vaccines that prevent other serious diseases like measles and polio. Let’s use them to protect every child.
