As congratulatory messages continues to pour in, in solidarity of the affirmation of Comrade Obasuyi as the substantive Chairman NYCN Edo State, after a petition was filed against him in court, challenging his emergence as state Chairman by some aggrieved council members. A stakeholder in the NYCN from Esan South East local government, Comrade Otoide Kingsley has also congratulated the winner.
In his comprehensive message on behalf of the Esan South East youth, released on a popular social media platform, Facebook, he noted that “change is the law of life, those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future, quoting J. F. Kennedy. Let every man know, whether he wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty.”
He said the liberty of Edo youth is greater than the  aspiration or ambition of any man, as such, in keeping a date and fate with destiny, the entire Edo youth have been vindicated today. That  after a protracted litigation aimed at holding Edo youth hostage by keeping us at the whims and caprices of a minority grip for self serving purposes.” Otoide called that it be reiterated, that life is worth living only to the extent that is lived for the  service of humanity.
He then said on behalf of the entire Esan South East Youth, “I congratulate the dynamic and capacity Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter, the Executive and the entire Edo Youth under the unequalled leadership of Comrade Davidson Osahon Obasuyi for the deserved and affirmed victory at a Benin High Court yesterday.”
Furthermore, the youth leader admonished the Chairman, that the event of yesterday is not a historical coincidence, rather a fulfilment of an ordained work of God, an attestation of youth confidence cum legal vote of confidence on your sterling leadership mien, and a manifestation of nature’s refusal to allow any forces to deny Edo youth of his contribution to mankind by aborting his tenure.
“Distinguished, while congratulating you, be reminded that to whom much is given much is expected, by this, accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory; you are to provide a bigger shade capable of providing cover for your friends and foes. It is imperative that this victory spur you to harness, harmonise, build bridges that is capable of weaving a common thread around the collective interest and will to move Edo Youth forward.”
According to his congratulatory message, he left the Chairman with the words of Abraham Lincoln saying, “beware of rashness, remain calm but with energy, and sleepless vigilance, go forward and give us the dividend of  victories.” Once more, congratulation to Edo youth he added and chanted the NYCN and Comradeship slogans, Build the Youth… Build the Nation!!!
