*Asiwaju Pius Kolawole, the Senior Special Assistant on Security in charge of Yagba west inspected the newly recruited special constables in the local government area*
*He said the recruitment of special constables is part of effort to encourage community policing in the fight against crime at the grassroots*
*The SSA Security noted that the special constables would be trained and be issued with uniform*
*The constables would assist the police to prevent criminal activities, by given intelligence reports and resolve crisis among members of the public*
*Asiwaju Pius Kolawole assured the newly recruited special constables of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello preparedness and commitment to ensure effective operation of the special constables in each towns and villages across communities in Kogi state*
*He noted further that security top priority of Governor Yahaya Bello led administration in the state and the more reason why Kogi state is rated as one of the best State in Nigeria in term of protection of lives and properties of the Citizens*
*He pledged to give maximum support as the chief security officer of the local government which was the marching order given to them by His Excellency for zero tolerance of any forms of vices and criminality in each local government and for the successful operation of the special constables in each of the twenty one local government areas of the State*
