A joint team of emergency responders extinguished the fire before it escalated to more adjoining buildings.
It was gathered that the fire started around 8am and destroyed the entire first floor of the residential building.
Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident to The PUNCH correspondent in a telephone conversation.
He said the cause of the fire is yet to be unknown but rescue operation is ongoing
