2027 Election: Strong Reasons Bunu Land Should Produce the Next Federal Representative
The Bunu L’OKAN 2027 Agenda stands as a rallying call for fairness, equity, and justice within the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency. As the 2027 general elections draw near, it has become imperative to address the long-standing imbalance in political representation that has consistently denied the Bunu people their rightful place in the House of Representatives.
Since the creation of the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, the people of Kabba and Ijumu have had multiple turns at representing our constituency at the federal level. However, Bunu Land, despite its significant population, political contributions, and loyalty to the collective cause of the constituency, has never had the privilege of producing a representative.
This continued exclusion contradicts the principles of fairness, inclusivity, and justice which are the bedrock of true democracy. The Bunu L’OKAN movement is therefore a legitimate call for equity — not a demand for privilege, but an appeal to conscience and balance.
Equity Strengthens Unity
The Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency has always thrived on unity and cooperation among its three major components. Allowing Bunu to produce the next House of Representatives member in 2027 will not only restore confidence in our shared political structure but also promote unity, strengthen collaboration, and deepen democratic values.
When every segment of our constituency feels represented and included, peace is assured, participation is increased, and progress becomes inevitable. The Bunu people have remained committed partners in the development and political stability of our constituency, and it is time for that loyalty to be reciprocated.

We therefore call on all political leaders, traditional institutions, youth groups, women organizations, and opinion leaders across Kabba, Bunu, and Ijumu to support this just cause. The 2027 election presents an opportunity to correct historical imbalance and demonstrate that our democracy values fairness over favoritism.
