HON. TAUFIQ DRUMS SUPPORT FOR GOV. YAHAYA BELLO’S PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION

The Ijumu Local Government and ALGON Chairman, Hon. (Dr) Taufiq Isa has made a clarion call on all sons and daughters of Okunland both at home and in diaspora to  massively supports the Presidential ambition of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello in 2023.

Alh Taufiq in his clarion call stated that it is in him that Okun’s Agenda can be realized. He extolled the love the governor has for okunland. This is the first time in the last thirty years that okun sons and daughters occupy sensitive positions in the state for eight uninterrupted years. He went on to mention that the  posts of Commissioner of Finance, Information, Education, Speaker HOA, Environment, SSG, DCOS, ALGON Chairman a few to mention all occupied by okun sons and daughters which has never happened in the political history of Kogi State.

Hon. Taufiq in his speech also enumerated the number of projects completed and ongoing in Okun land which is unprecedented.

The Chairman praised the giant strides of the governor in the area of security, health, education, youth employment, women emancipation, cultural  and religious tolerance which the state has witnessed since the commencement of GYB’s administration. In the area of appointment, gender, women emancipation, youth empowerment cultural, traditional, and religious issues name it the governor has been fair to all.

According to Chairman, Kogi State has a new University with fantastic beginning, a rice mill in Okunland, reference Hospitals in all senatorial districts, roads rehabilitation across Kogi state, and projects in tertiary institutions all to the credit of the governor’s  sagacious and democratic leadership.

The Chairman stated that the determination of his administration and strategic team to put resources together to mobilize, campaign, print and paste posters across the local government’s for the governor is not out of place but in a bid to reciprocate the Governor’s magnanimity to Okun land because ”to whom much is given, much is expected.

The Chairman stated that the type of leader the country needs at this critical period is a detribalized person who will not  consider himself as a Hausa man,Ibo man, Yoruba man or Fulani, but as a Nigerian just as Governor Yahaya Bello considers himself as a Kogite and not an Ebira man alone.

In his concluding statement, the Chairman stated that he has decided to dedicate all resources at his disposal, awards and all his followers to the ambition of his political Father, benefactor and role model, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
