IJUMU LGA EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN HOST’S PRIMATE OF METHODIST CHURCH NIGERIA

Late yesterday, the 21st of July 2021, the Ijumu LGA Chairman and ALGON Chairman Kogi State, Hon. Dr. Taufiq Isa hosted the Primate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu at the Pa Oguntebi Hall in the Local Government.
The visit according to the Primate is one of his Church tour to the Dioceses, hence his presence in Iffe- Ijumu and on such occasions he visits the Local Government headquarters where the Diocese is located to pray for the people and management of the local government.
The Priest commended the management of the Local Government for the neatness and facilities which are in the local government despite meagre resources available for running local governments in the country.
Earlier, the spokes person of the entourage eulogised and extol the humility of the Chairman who was earlier in Iffe to attend the church program.
The Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Rachel Otitolaiye who represented the Chairman, welcomed the Primate, his wife and entourage of Diocesan Bishops and read the Chairman’s speech.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of Bible gifts to the Executive Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the local government. Prayers were also offered by the Primate for all sons and daughters of the Local Government both at home and diaspora.
