Just In: KGSG to Resume Demolition of Houses Used for Criminal Activities

Following the resurgence of insecurity in Okun land, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has promised not to close down any secondary school or the Kogi state  college of education technical Kabba in oke dayo where the incident occurred.

Governor Bello in a message to an Emergency Security Meeting at Kabba on Monday Represented by the State Security Adviser, Retired Commander Jerry Omodara said no school will be closed down following the incident of  Unknown gunmen who attacked a church during Sunday service killing one person and abducting three others.

 Retired Commander Jerry Omodara while addressing the press warned Landlords against harboring criminals, we have done it before and will do it again if we discover any house used by criminals to perform their evil acts the house will be demolished

The Governor said security of lives and property remains a priority of his administration, pointing out that his administration is committed to safeguarding the State.

 He forward explained that the move was part of the renewed effort of the government in nipping in the bud upsurge of Insecurity in Okun land and the state.

 He said the people should give relevant information and support Security Agencies. we must flush them out of our society, they live among us  “Criminals are not spirits, he said

Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Kolawole M.O. Kolawole of Kabba/Bunu Constituency  urging security personnel to provide quick response whenever they are called upon donated vehicles to aide security operatives in Kabba/Bunu Local Government


He advised  Local Government Legislative Councils to domesticate the State Anti Kidnapping Law in their respective Local Governments


The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, Kabba is known to be a peaceful town and Okun land in general. we can overcome the increased insecurity in our Land all we need is support from the Local Government Chairmen in Okun land to collaborate with Security Agencies and Traditional Rulers to fight criminals. 

The Commissioner of Police, Idris Dauda solicited the support of the people in getting rid of criminals from the state, assuring that the attackers will not go unpunished.


He sympathized with the ECWA Goodnews Church Gbeleko/Okedayo, the family of the victims of the attack, traditional rulers, and people of Kabba Bunu over the unfortunate incident and assured that the perpetrators would soon be brought to book.
