Otunba Kingsley Mokikan Visits Kabba-Bunu Local Government Education Authority, Advocates for Quality Improved Development
Otunba Kingsley Mokikan, the Supervisory Councillor for Education and Social Services Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, recently visited the Local Government Educational Authority,he charged the management staff and the entire workers to put in their to strengthen the education sector in the area.
Speaking earlier,Otunba Mokikan emphasized the importance of prioritizing the younger generation, stressing that their future lies in the hands of the government , such cannot be taken for granted.”The prospect of the younger generation is very important, and we need the support of all the teachers in the local government to achieve better,” He urged the stakeholders to unite for the betterment of education.
He expressed his readiness and commitment to the administration of the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Mokikan stated, “I will never want the Local Government Chairman to fail in his tenure. I will continue to support him because Kabba-Bunu belongs to all of us.”
He further appealed to teachers to complement the government’s efforts by performing their duties diligently. . Together, we must ensure progress and developmental projects in the educational sector of Kabba-Bunu. We need to succeed together,” he added.
Prioritizing Security and Education
Otunba Mokikan highlighted that after ensuring security in the local government, education stands as the next priority . He commended Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the implementation of the new minimum wage, and other impactful policies aimed at improving the welfare of the citizenry
Addressing Teachers’ Concerns
In a remark,, teachers raised concerns about delayed implementation of promotions and challenges related to housing.
Otunba Mokikan reinstated his commitment to working with relevant authorities to address these challenges. He emphasized the need for collaboration between government officials and the staffers to ensure a thriving educational sector.
