Otunba Kingsley Mokikan Meets Sectional Heads to Boost Education in Kabba-Bunu LGA


Otunba Kingsley Mokikan, the Supervisory Councillor for Education and Social Services in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, recently held a meeting with sectional heads of the department of Education and social services in the local government to deliberate on strategies for advancing education and social services in the region. Recognizing the pivotal role of education as the cornerstone of societal development, Otunba Mokikan emphasized his commitment to prioritizing this sector alongside social services during his tenure.


Addressing the gathering, Otunba Mokikan expressed his gratitude to those who supported his appointment, particularly the local government Chairman, Hon. Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael. He lauded the chairman’s unwavering dedication to educational development in Kabba-Bunu, describing him as a leader with a vision for the betterment of the community.


“Education is the most important sector after security in Nigeria,” Otunba Mokikan stated. “It is a sector that shapes the future of individuals and communities, and we must ensure it receives the attention it deserves.”

He reaffirmed his readiness to collaborate with all stakeholders, including teachers, community leaders, and parents, to achieve meaningful progress in the educational landscape of Kabba-Bunu LGA.


Otunba Mokikan also took the opportunity to commend the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his steadfast commitment to educational programs and policies across the state. He acknowledged the governor’s role in creating an enabling environment for educational growth, which has positively impacted local government areas like Kabba-Bunu.


In his concluding remarks, Otunba Mokikan promised to work tirelessly under the administration of Hon. Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael to ensure that Kabba-Bunu Local Government becomes a model for educational excellence in Kogi State.

He highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration, urging all stakeholders to contribute their efforts toward achieving the shared goal of educational development.
