Otunba Kingsley Mokikan Sympathizes with Odoape Bunu Community Over Tragic Incident
Otunba Kingsley Mokikan, the Supervisory Councillor for Education and Social Services in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, has expressed deep sympathy to the people of Odoape Bunu and its environs following the tragic killing of innocent individuals by unknown gunmen.
In his heartfelt message, Otunba Mokikan condemned the heinous act and prayed for peace and solace for the grieving community. “I pray that affliction will never rise again in our land. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may their families find strength during this difficult time,” he said.
Reassuring the community of the government’s commitment to their safety, Otunba Mokikan highlighted the proactive measures being taken by the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael. “I can assure us that my boss, Hon. Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, is not resting on his oars in ensuring maximum security for the people of this local government. Efforts are ongoing to prevent a recurrence of such tragedies,” he affirmed.
Otunba Mokikan further commended the state government’s resolve to tackle insecurity.
He lauded the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, for his firm commitment to justice. “The governor has vowed to bring to book the perpetrators of this dastardly act. No stone will be left unturned in ensuring justice for the victims and their families,” he stated.
Addressing the youths of Odoape Bunu, Otunba Mokikan empathized with their pain and urged them to maintain faith in the government’s efforts.
“My empathy goes to the youth of the community. I appeal to them to keep faith with governments at all levels.
Let this be the last of such occurrences in our land,” he concluded.
