ILE’YA OMO OKUN 2024: OKUN SUPER COOK ONE OF THE UNIQUENESS EMBEDDED IN THE YEARLY HOME COMING FESTIVAL
OKUN SUPER COOK is one of the most interesting and thoughtful aspect in reshaping the rightful and due diligence way of how Okun delicacies are prepared and how our female folk should imbibe and emulate the cooking skills as part of the role our mothers play in the family.
This year’s edition took a new phase as Maggie presence as partners speak alot of volume and recognition of efforts and commitment the organizers of ILE’YA OMO OKUN, has been trying to put in place in projecting and rebranding the Cultural value of Okunland through series of segmented event one of which is the Okun super cook
The OKun Super cook, is a key contest of how to prepare some forgotten Okun local delicacies among the contestants of OMIDAN OGE that is Cultural Based Leadership Pageant, Its a test of Leadership through United Culture. these delicacies include obe ogun, sankoro, orunla, ogbono/Ila, obe koto and akuku
The Uniqueness embedded in the OKun Super cook contest, is that it’s unveil and improved the cooking potential of the maidans in preparing for the motherhood journey ahead. Mothers were at hand to see the preparation processes and to determine whose soup made the list with a well pounded yam,Okunland is blessed.
The success of this year edition of Okun super cook can only be made possible and anchored on God’s grace and the partnership from Maggie under the water of Mr.Kola Lawal and our overseas based Mrs Bakare-Stephen Olushola.
