Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna Meets with Origa Community, Addresses Key Socioeconomic Challenges
The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, visited Origa Ijumu earlier today to discuss the pressing challenges faced by the community. He was warmly received by the community’s traditional leader, who commended the Chairman’s commitment to engaging with all communities, regardless of size or remoteness.
The High Chief expressed gratitude, noting that this was the first time in a long while that an elected official visited the community outside of the electoral period.
During the meeting, a community stakeholder highlighted several pressing issues, with the most urgent being the year-long power outage due to a faulty transformer. Other concerns raised included the lack of a healthcare center and inadequate water supply.
Responding to the concerns, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna immediately directed specialists to assess the condition of the transformer for possible repair. He further reassured the community of the government’s commitment to addressing their healthcare and water supply needs, promising prompt intervention.
