KGSHIA Board Members Pay Courtesy Visit to Kogi State Head of Civil Service
A delegation of Board Members of the Kogi State Health Insurance Agency (KGSHIA) paid a courtesy visit to the Head of Civil Service, Pastor Elijah Evinemi, FCA, at his office. The visit, led by Dr. Aledare Adekunle, the Executive Secretary of KGSHIA, aimed to provide updates on the agency’s progress and to express appreciation for the pivotal role the Head of Service has played in advancing the agency’s initiatives. The delegation of KGSHIA’s board include the Board Chairman, Pharm. Suberu Ariko and Permanent Member 2, Hon. Jacob Abraham Damilare.
During the meeting, Dr. Aledare introduced the KGSHIA entourage and briefed Pastor Evinemi on the agency’s recent developments, emphasizing the formal care plan program for Kogi State civil servants. He acknowledged the support from the Head of Service’s office, which has been instrumental in fast-tracking the implementation of various health insurance programs, including efforts to incorporate Kogi State pensioners into the pensioners’ health insurance scheme of KGSHIA.
In response, Pastor Elijah Evinemi praised KGSHIA for effectively translating state government policies into tangible benefits for the people. He assured the agency of continued collaboration and pledged unwavering support to sustain its high standards of performance. The Head of Service also reaffirmed the cooperation of civil servants in ensuring the success of the health insurance programs across the state. He encouraged KGSHIA to remain focused on executing the health insurance policies under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Pastor Evinemi also committed to assisting the agency in overcoming its challenges where possible. He was accompanied by key officials, including Mr. Celestine Idoko, Permanent Secretary APS; Mrs. Elizabeth Oloruntoba, Permanent Secretary, Establishment and Training; Mrs. Memuna Shuaib, Permanent Secretary, REPA; and Mr. Kayode Samuel, Deputy Director and KGSHIA focal person in the Office of the Head of Service.
