Kogi State Ten-Year Developmental Plan, Commissioner for Finance,Budget and Economic Planning Meets PRS staffs in all MDA’s


The Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA meets with all PRS staffs from all Ministry, Departments and Agency’s of Government, where he disclosed that accurate data gathering is critical for characterization and verification that can help predict long-term structural durability. He noted that with accurate and detailed data, proper planning in Governance process would be made ease in meeting or closing the gap in every sphere of human endeavour.
 The Honourable Commissioner stated this during a meeting of the Ten-year Developmental plan with all PRS staff of  MDA’s in lokoja.
He was represented at the meeting by the Permanent Secretary, Budget, Mr Olajide Samuel, who welcomed participants said the purpose of the meeting is to ensure that the state meets up with the target of the Ten-year development plan before the end of the year.
He noted that if the state must achieve this, a workable plan must be put in place that will also serve as a guide in all the sectors of the state’s economy
While calling on staff to be proactive and more dedicated in the discharge of their duty, the Permanent Secretary said they have limited time to carry out the assignment. 
He, however, assured them that templates will be shared especially where data needs to be generated as well as relevant information that will help them come up with a dependable development plan that will place the state on a better development structure 
In his contribution, the Director, International Dept, Mallam Sani Haruna emphasized on the importance of a developmental plan.
According to him, One fundamental thing that is very important anywhere in the world is to know where we are in terms of indicators. 
He said identifying where we are is the surest way to determine where you want to be in the nearest future if certain things are put right.
He however maintained that if statistics are not gotten right, it will be very difficult to determine the future.
Other Directors present at the meeting are the Director Macro department Mr. Joe Omokore and Mr. Bello Joseph of the Monitoring and Evaluation dept.
