Honourable Commissioner for Education and other top Kogi State officials welcome Otunba Kingsley Mokikan to APC with a rousing reception
In a significant political move, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB, along with other top Kogi State government functionaries, welcomed a prominent figure from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in a grand event that showcased unity and strength within the party.
Otunba Kingsley Mokikan, a bigwig in the PDP, was warmly received by Hon. Wemi Jones, who expressed confidence that Mokikan’s decision to join the APC signifies the beginning of positive change and progress. Describing Mokikan as a politician with deep roots and high community-based influence, Hon. Jones praised the new member for his dedication to serving the people.
Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike, echoed Hon. Jones’ sentiments, stating that Mokikan’s move to the APC was a well-considered decision that will undoubtedly benefit both the party and the people of Kogi State. She assured Mokikan that he would find a welcoming and supportive environment within the APC.
Security Adviser to the government of Kogi State, Commander Jerry Omodara, and the national publicity secretary of the APC, Hon. Duro Meseko, also praised Mokikan for his strong grassroots support and mobilization skills, recognizing his value to the party.
Caretaker Chairman of Kabba-Bunu LGA, Hon. (Barr) Zacchaeus Dare, expressed excitement over Mokikan’s decision to join the APC, describing him as a valuable addition who has much to offer the party and the local government. The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Honorable Seyi Bello, Hon. Moses Olorunleke, Solomon Jemibawondo, Oluwanuwonlo Olorunipa (Jumabee), and many others.
