Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael Joins Kabba/Bunu LGA APC Leaders To Welcome PDP Decampees In Ayetoro Kiri

Ahead of the October 19th, local government elections in Kogi State, the Kabba/Bunu LGA, Caretaker Chairman, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael on Friday joined the State Security Adviser, Comdr Jerry Omodara rtd, Commissioner for Education, Hon Wemi Jones FCIB, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon Duro Meseko, Secretary to Kogi State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike PhD, Kabba/Bunu State Assembly member, Hon Seyi Bello, APC Kabba/Bunu LGA party chairman, Mr Solomon Jembawondo and other prominent leaders of the party to welcome over 500 card-carrying members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Ayetoro Kiri ward who officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The caretaker chairman received the new entrants into the ruling party’s fold in Ayetoro Kiri town, an event which attracted political gladiators as well as other critical stakeholders from Kabba/Bunu LGA.
Zacchaeus welcomed and congratulated them for joining the ruling party with an assurance that they would not regret their actions. He described many of the decampees as leaders and solid members of the PDP, the Chairman assured them that the APC would provide equal opportunities and privileges for both old and new members, adding that the party doors were still open for others to join.
While calling on existing APC members to welcome the decampees with open arms, the Chairman enjoined all members of the party to remain united in order to continue to move the wheel of progress of the party forward.
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Hon (Chief) Kingsley Mokikan said that they were attracted to join APC due to Governor Ododo’s visionary leadership which has translated into executing people-oriented projects for the betterment of the state. He added that the achievement of the Governor in less than eight months in office was monumental.
While assuring the Governor and the leadership of APC of their maximum support and loyalty, Kingsley added that many other PDP members, in their large numbers, would soon join the All progressives Congress.
Conclusively, the caretaker chairman thanked the decampees for appreciating Governor Ododo’s administration in its effort to move the state forward.
“I am glad for your objectivity and giving the government the credit for its performance.
“I urge you to remain loyal, committed and to be on the same page with the party and government for community development,” the Chairman said.
