Kogi Council Polls 2024: Appeal To Gov. Ododo And APC Leaders To Consider The 21 LGAs Incumbent Caretaker as the party’s candidates for Chairmen For Continuity and Stability- Hon. Aiyenale Fred Jimoh
The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Chief(Hon) Aiyenale Fred Jimoh has appeal to the ruling APC in Kogi State to consider giving the 21 LGAs incumbent Caretaker Chairmen as the party’s candidates in the forthcoming Kogi State LGAs elections so as to give them the opportunity to continue in office as elected chairmen.
The APC stalwart and community developer, In a statement signed and made available to newsmen noted that the party’s unity, peace and stability are key and important at this critical time in the history of the state.
“There is a new Governor in the State who is the leader of our beloved party in the state and has been working tirelessly to fix Kogi State, we want him to focus more on governance and service delivery to the people as the Governor and Leader of the State to continue putting smile on the faces of kogites and not to distract him with process that may be too cumbersome to manage.
Hon. Aiyenale Fred Jimoh noted that issues that may arise as aftermath of the primary elections should not be allowed to distract our Governor and party Leader because such may supersede the smooth running of governance and service delivery to the people, noting that party management can be achieved using consensus as a strategy when handled properly.
So, I’m appealing to our amiable Governor His Excellency Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo and all party’s Leaders in order for us to continue to enjoy the peace, harmony, stability, and balance in our beloved party across Kogi State, let us retain, ratify, and affirm the incumbent caretaker chairmen across the 21 LGAs as the party’s candidates in the forthcoming Kogi State LGA elections.
“This is to appeal to our results oriented Governor and leader of our party, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the chairman of our beloved party, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, all state leaders, LGAs and ward leaders of our party and stakeholders of our party to provide the 21 Caretaker Chairmen the opportunity to continue with their consolidation turned transformative agenda in their various local government area in the best interest of our party in particular and Kogi state at large.
“The endorsement of the 21 Caretaker chairmen across Kogi state will douse tension and crisis that may emanate before, during and after the primary election which might not be good and healthy for our party and our beloved state.
It is on this note, I want to appeal to the father of Kogi state, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to consider the 21 caretaker chairmen the opportunity to continue so that they can have the opportunity to be elected council chairmen.
For instance, look at our Caretaker Chairman in Kabba Bunu LGA, the guy has been so wonderful in discharging his duties and responsibilities even as an appointee. Imagine what he will achieve for us when given the opportunity as elected chairman. He has a very robust and reliable relationship with the security agencies, the traditional rulers, the stakeholders and everyone in his communities across Kabba Bunu LGA.
He knows and understands our security architecture and what we need. His transformative activities across Kabba Bunu LGA are physical and visible to everyone.
Our communities are waiting for him to be the candidate of our party for them to come out emass to vote for him. He’s a good candidate for our party.
