Staff of Kogi State University Kabba Host Hon. Wemi Jones at New Yam Festival Celebration
The staff of Kogi State University Kabba recently hosted the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, as Bunuland celebrated their New Yam Festival.
The occasion was used to express appreciation to Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB for his dedication and good works in the educational sector of the state.
The Governor, His Excellency Usman Ododo, was also appreciated for his efforts in promoting education in Kogi State.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. K.I.T Eniola, commended Hon. Wemi Jones, describing him as a proud ambassador of Okun land. The event was attended by several dignitaries including Hon. Bode Adeyemi, Special Adviser Energy, Hon. Dr. Kamaldeen Toyin, APC Stalwart Otitoleke, and SSA to the Governor on Drugs Rehabilitation, Hon. Kayode Emmanuel Eseyin.
Also present were PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Kingsley Mokikan, PDP Stalwart Hon. Omojola Sunday, Secretary of Kabba/Bunu LGA, and Hon. Tunde Akanmidu, among others.
During the celebration, the honourable commissioner expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and assured the university staff that the Governor Usman Ododo led administration is committed to prioritizing education and will continue to support initiatives that promote educational development in the state.
The event was a showcase of unity and appreciation for the efforts being made to improve the education sector in Kogi State.
