“You Will Come in Your Thousands, But Return in Your Zeros”: Gov. Ododo Leads the Charge Against Insecurity in Kogi State

In a bold move to tackle insecurity head-on, the people’s governor and servant leader of Kogi State, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, led the charge against banditry and kidnapping in the Yagba area of Kogi West.
Recently, the region has witnessed a worrying rise in criminal activities, especially across the three local government areas that make up Yagba land. This surge is not unconnected to the fact that these areas share borders with neighbouring states battling their own security challenges. It’s also worth noting that Kogi State, through all three senatorial districts, borders several other Nigerian states, a factor that often makes policing more complex.
Governor Ododo, known for his zero-tolerance stance on insecurity, has vowed to leave no stone unturned in restoring peace to Okunland and the entire state. His determination to flush out the perpetrators of these dastardly acts is unwavering.
Recalling his interview with TVC, where he declared that “bandits may come in their thousands, but they will return in their zeros,” the governor reiterated his commitment to protecting every corner of Kogi. While commiserating with affected communities, he assured residents that swift and decisive action is already underway to stem the tide of insecurity.
