Comrade Abiodun Ayodele Applauds Ijumu LG Chairman, Commends Governor Ododo’s Dedication to Workers’ Welfare


The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ijumu Chapter, Comrade Abiodun Ayodele, has applauded the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, for his unwavering and invaluable support to the education sector and teachers in the local government.

He described the Chairman as a leader who genuinely values education and consistently prioritizes the welfare of teachers, which has contributed immensely to the stability and progress of schools across Ijumu.


Comrade Ayodele also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State for his remarkable recognition at the national level, where he received an award from the Nigeria Union of Teachers as the Best Governor in Workers’ Welfare. He lauded Governor Ododo for taking the welfare of state workers as a top priority, noting that his administration’s prompt payment of salaries, promotion implementation, and infrastructural support have rekindled the confidence of teachers and civil servants across the state.


In the same vein, Comrade Ayodele joined the international community in commemorating World Teachers’ Day, a global celebration dedicated to appreciating the invaluable contributions of teachers to human capital development. He emphasized that teachers remain the backbone of every society, molding future leaders and fostering moral, social, and intellectual growth. He encouraged teachers to remain steadfast and committed to their noble calling, assuring them that their efforts would never go unnoticed.


The event, which took place in Abuja, witnessed the presence of notable personalities, including the Provost of Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, and APC leader in Ijumu Oke, Dr. Femi Paul Fashagba. Dr. Fashagba, who joined others in celebrating the achievements of Governor Ododo and the teaching community, reiterated his commitment to promoting quality education and supporting teachers in their vital role of nation-building.
