Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation Set to Empower 450 Farmers in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu with Insecticide Support to Boost Agricultural Productivity
In a strategic move aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and empowering local farmers, the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) has rolled out a major support initiative targeted at 450 farmers across the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
The foundation, known for its grassroots empowerment efforts, will be distributing agricultural insecticides to 450 selected farmers in five designated centres within the constituency. This impactful gesture is part of its broader commitment to enhancing food security, improving rural livelihoods, and strengthening the agricultural value chain in the region.
The distribution exercise is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM prompt across the following venues:
- Ijumu-Oke Centre – United Primary School, Ayere
- Ijumu Arin Centre – St. Paul Primary School, Iyara
- Gbede Centre – Model Primary School, Aiyetoro Gbede
- Kabba Centre – St. Augustine College, Kabba
- Bunu Centre – Oke Offin Town Hall
Each selected farmer will receive a package of insecticides, carefully chosen to aid in pest control and safeguard crop yield. This support is particularly timely, as farmers face increasing challenges due to climate change and pest infestations that threaten productivity and food supply.
According to representatives of the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation, the initiative reflects the foundation’s deep-rooted belief in the power of agriculture as a tool for sustainable development and poverty alleviation. “We are committed to supporting our farmers with the right tools they need to succeed.
