Asuta Ward Celebrates Restoration of Vital Borehole by Hon. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi (IDRUFEM)
Residents of Asuta Ward in Kabba-Bunu LGA erupted in joy and celebration as a borehole that has been non-functional for a long time in their community was successfully reinstalled by the dedicated efforts of Hon. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi (IDRUFEM).
The borehole was originally donated by Hon. Segun Dare, a former Councillor from the ward. But it stopped working immediately after it was commissioned. After over a year of struggling without access to clean water in the community, the reinstatement of the borehole by Hon. IDRUFEM marks a significant milestone in the lives of the people of Asuta Ward.
Prompted by the proactive actions of community youth that solicited for help on behalf of the community, Hon. IDRUFEM swiftly addressed the issue by contracting a world-class engineering firm to ensure that the borehole was functioning once again at all cost.
The relentless commitment to the welfare of his people was evident as the project was completed in record time, providing an essential resource that had been sorely missed by the community.
This particular borehole holds sentimental value as well as practical significance for the residents of Asuta Ward. With clean and drinkable water now flowing freely, the community can breathe a sigh of relief and resume their livelihood activities with ease.
The overwhelming gratitude and deep appreciation expressed by residents towards Hon. IDRUFEM highlights his exemplary leadership qualities and dedication to the development of Okun land. The reinstated borehole marks the nineteenth community water project supported by Hon. IDRUFEM in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, with many more to come.
