IJUMU 7TH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, ALH. HARUNA IBRAHIM – COMMENDS HIS PRAGMATIC DECISION IN SHUTTING DOWN ZANGO MARKET

The 7th Ijumu Legislative Council has passed a vote of confidence on the Executive C1qhairman, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of the people.

The Council commends the Chairman’s pragmatic decision to shut down Zango Market in Iyara as a proactive measure to curb security threats and maintain peace in the area. His swift action demonstrates his dedication to protecting lives and property while ensuring stability within the local government.

Speaking on behalf of the Legislative Council, the Leader of the Council, Hon. Ibikunle Modupe (Mrs.), praised the Executive Chairman for his exceptional performance across all spheres of governance. She highlighted that Alh. Haruna Ibrahim has consistently prioritised the safety and welfare of the people while fostering a strong working relationship with all councillors—a factor that has significantly enhanced Ijumu Local Government’s reputation among its peers.

Hon. Modupe further noted that the Chairman’s leadership has influenced the Council in enacting policies aimed at ensuring the security and prosperity of both residents and visitors in Ijumu.
