Ijumu LG Chairman Pledges Commitment to Equity and Fairness in Olu of Ayetoro Gbede Stool Affairs
The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, on Tuesday met with delegation from Ayetoro Gbede to discuss pressing issues concerning the selection of the next Olu of Ayetoro Gbede.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman emphasized the need for unity as a vital tool for communal growth, noting that development can only be achieved when the people remain united.
He urged all parties to set aside personal sentiments and work toward a common goal, reinforcing the bond of brotherhood that unites them.
In their response, the representatives expressed their appreciation for the Chairman’s proactive leadership and unwavering support for Ayetoro Gbede.
Chief Elewa of Ayetoro commended the Chairman’s efforts in repositioning and fostering growth in the community, describing his leadership as unprecedented in the past two decades.
He further lauded the Chairman’s unbiased approach in handling the affairs of the people.
Similarly, Chief Bariga acknowledged the Chairman’s commitment and sensitivity to critical issues.
He praised his steadfast support for the Ayetoro community since assuming office as the Caretaker Chairman, pledging continued support for his administration in all circumstances.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolution to select the most suitable candidate for the traditional stool in the best interest of the community while ensuring that core traditional values and arrangements are upheld.
