Ijumu Executive Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, Lays Foundation for Primary Health Care Center in Iyamoye
In a bid to improve healthcare accessibility and enhance the well-being of residents, the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, has officially laid the foundation for a new Primary Health Care (PHC) center in Iyamoye. The initiative aligns with the Kogi State Government’s commitment to strengthening the health sector and ensuring that rural communities receive adequate medical attention.
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna expressed his gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support for grassroots healthcare development. He noted that the establishment of the health center is a strategic step toward providing affordable and accessible medical services to the people of Iyamoye, with a special focus on maternal and child healthcare, immunization, and emergency medical care.
The chairman further assured residents that his administration remains committed to executing people-oriented projects that will positively impact their daily lives. He called on community members to take ownership of the project, safeguard the facility, and work closely with health personnel to ensure its efficient operation upon completion.
Community leaders, traditional rulers, and residents who attended the event commended the State and local government’s efforts, describing the project as a long-awaited solution to the healthcare challenges faced by the people of Iyamoye and its neighboring communities.
