OGO CELEBRATES GOVERNOR USMAN ODODO’S ONE YEAR IN OFFICE AS A GOLDEN ERA FOR KOGI STATE
ENGR. OLUMOROTI GEORGE OLUSOLA (OGO) CELEBRATES GOVERNOR USMAN ODODO’S ONE YEAR IN OFFICE AS A GOLDEN ERA FOR KOGI STATE
As we celebrate the remarkable one year anniversary of His Excellency, Governor Usman Ododo’s administration, it is a moment of reflection and appreciation for the strides made in Kogi State. Under his visionary leadership, this period has truly been a golden era, characterized by significant advancements in security, social welfare, and infrastructural development.
One of the hallmarks of Governor Ododo’s tenure has been the steadfast commitment to the security of lives, property, and food for the people of Kogi State. In a time when insecurity poses challenges across many regions, his administration has taken commendable steps to ensure a safe environment for citizens. This renewed sense of safety has fostered a conducive atmosphere for personal and economic growth.
The economic wellbeing of the workforce has been prioritised with the prompt payment of salaries to government employees. This not only reflects a strong ethical commitment but also nurtures the financial stability of families across the state. Furthermore, the increment of the national minimum wage demonstrates a keen understanding of the economic pressures faced by workers and a determination to alleviate them.
Governor Ododo’s initiatives in infrastructure development have also been transformative. The construction and provision of street lighting along Zango and Crusher Road have enhanced safety and mobility for residents, helping to reduce crime rates and attract economic activities. Additionally, the renovations of key government facilities have improved public service delivery, making it easier for the citizens to access essential services.
In the realm of education, the administration’s construction of over 200 blocks of classrooms for primary schools across the 21 Local Government Areas is a testament to the commitment to enhancing educational outcomes for our youth. Investing in education is investing in the future of Kogi State, creating pathways for success for generations to come.
The construction of feeder roads throughout the 21 Local Government Areas has also played a pivotal role in improving connectivity and boosting local economies. These roads not only facilitate transportation but also empower rural communities by connecting them to major markets and resources.
Moreover, the support for youth employment through various initiatives has become a central focus of Governor Ododo’s administration. The Governor Ododo Business Outreach (GOBO) program stands out as a significant effort to nurture entrepreneurial spirit, providing local business opportunities and fostering self sufficiency among the youth.
As Engr. Olumoroti George Olusola, the managing director of lower Niger River Basin Development authority, (LNRBDA) I commend Governor Usman Ododo for his exemplary leadership over the past year. His dedication to the security, welfare, and development of Kogi State reflects a commitment to the people that is both inspiring and commendable. Let us continue to support this administration as we look forward to even greater achievements in the years to come. Together, we can build a brighter and more prosperous Kogi State for all.
Signed
