Ijumu Executive Chairman Receives Rescued Kidnapped Victim. -Commends Local Hunters and Hon. Tosin Olokun’s Support
The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, has expressed deep appreciation for the successful rescue of a kidnapped victim in Iyara. He specifically acknowledged the support of the Yagba West Chairman, who also serves as the Kogi State ALGON Chairman, for his role in the operation.
Alhaji Haruna praised the bravery of the Yagba West local hunters, who strategically ambushed the kidnappers while being pursued by their counterparts in Ijumu.
“I am pleased to announce the safe rescue of our beloved resident. I appreciate the unwavering support of the Yagba West Chairman and Kogi State ALGON Chairman, whose assistance empowered our local security forces. This success highlights the dedication of our security team, and we will continue strengthening measures to prevent future incidents,” he stated.
The Chairman also stressed the importance of synergy between local security forces, noting that a coordinated bush-combing operation between Ijumu and Yagba West played a crucial role in the rescue. He called for sustained collaboration to enhance regional security.
Furthermore, Alhaji Haruna confirmed that the rescued victim, who sustained a bullet wound to the arm, is safe and currently receiving medical treatment
