The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, attended the 2024 Annual Harvest Celebration (Ajodun Ikore) of the ECWA Church in Ogidi on Sunday, December 29th. Accompanied by the First Lady of the Local Government, Mrs. Hafsat Haruna, the Chairman emphasized the importance of promoting love, unity, and a commitment to community development.

In his address, Alhaji Haruna urged the congregation to continuously promote harmony, noting that it aligns with the will of God Almighty. He also highlighted the necessity for every individual to contribute, no matter how small, to the growth and development of their community, stating that collective efforts are essential for achieving the progress the community deserves.

The Chairman expressed profound appreciation to Reverend J.O. Ernest for his patriotic spirit and inspiring teachings on love and unity. He praised the Reverend as a “rare breed” for his active participation in vital community activities and his absolute commitment to fostering growth and harmony.

In conclusion, Alhaji Haruna reassures his commitments in priotising the welfare of his people without bias, noting that he will be ready available at all time to give necessary support to the Church. He extended Warm compliments, wishing the congregation a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance. He prayed for God’s continued provision, protection, and sustainability for the people and the community at large.
