The quest for the realization of the cultural objective action plan of ILE’YA OMO OKUN, prompt the visit to the Chief custodian of Ijumu kingdom, where the need to pay homage, Cultural teaching, Practices, moral and ancestral traditional lesson are meant to be inculcate into the life of the privilege contestants for the 6th edition Omidan Oge under the platform of ILE’YA OMO OKUN.
The reception and warm welcome by the Chief custodian of Ijumu kingdom, can’t be overemphasized as the King received the contestants as his daughters who need the integral lesson of life from a father as the King also took the contestants on historical lane of how the kingdom of Ijumu and constant emergence of Olujumu took place.
The contestants also paid a visit to the Wife of the sitting Chairman Kabba Bunu local Government the host community for this year edition.
The visit to Hon Mrs Grace Oludare was indeed a worthwhile session where the contestants were taught a true and character based lesson as a young maidens in Okunland who ought to be well prepared and nurture for the journey of womanhood.
The visit However, restate the aim of ILE’YA OMO OKUN, as a bridge to reconnect the people of OKUN back to their origin, through giving sense of belonging to Okun young maidens most importantly those falling of tracks, celebrating the ancestral cultural practices of OKUNLAND, rewarding and celebrating those who have been constantly giving back to the society in all spheres and empowerment platforms to motivate and appreciate our striving mothers whose tireless efforts has kept OKUN’s son and daughter thriving and doing exploit in their various endeavors of life.
