Record-Breaking: Kogi Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo Pays December Salaries, Pensions on December 14
The Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, has once again made history by paying December 2024 salaries and pensions on December 14. This unprecedented move underscores the Governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare and timely financial support.
The early payment comes as a relief to workers and pensioners ahead of the Christmas celebrations, enabling them to make necessary preparations. Governor Ododo described the gesture as a deliberate effort to ensure the people of Kogi State enjoy a stress-free festive season.
This is not the first time Governor Ododo has set a record in salary disbursement. In July 2024, he paid salaries ahead of the Eid El Kabir celebration on the 14th, breaking the long-standing record of Col. B.Z. Afakirya, who paid salaries on the 17th during his tenure.
Governor Ododo’s consistent early payment of salaries has been lauded as a step toward improving the standard of living and fostering a culture of financial responsibility in the state. His administration continues to prioritize the welfare of workers and pensioners, further enhancing the state’s reputation for good governance.
