We’ll Continue To Make Best Decisions For Kabba/Bunu LGA Future – Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael
The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, yesterday, reiterated that his administration would continue to make best decisions that would serve the interest of the local government and guarantee a secured future for the betterment of its residents.
He, however, promised to build on the good policies and legacies of the Ododo-led administrations and those implemented during his reign as the caretaker chairman.
Zacchaeus made the remarks at the wedding ceremony of Mr and Mrs Francis held at the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Ayede Bunu.
Zacchaeus, while speaking at the programme, called for immeasurable thanksgiving to God and also appreciated the people of Kabba/Bunu LGA, especially the civil/public servants and pensioners, for their unflinching support before, during and after his election into office.
“The government exists to look after the welfare of the people. While we are looking after ourselves to give us what we can live on, we also have to look at the development of the local government area.
“What should we be doing to secure our future? We have to complete the infrastructural projects we have started. We believe our infrastructure must hunt our economy and be in such a way that it must allow us to earn more and create a prosperous local government.
“We also need to give attention to those projects and those things that will make life more meaningful for our people, which will unleash creativity in them so that we can have a prosperous local government. It cannot be a one-sided thing. So, we have to engage, align, and move forward.”
Also, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, RT Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, appreciated Zacchaeus for approving a strong and purposeful leadership at the grassroots, commend the chairman for being a fearless leader, who has demonstrated that he has the interest of the local government area at heart.
Similarly, the State Security Adviser, Comdr Jerry Omodara rtd and the Commissioner of Education, Hon Wemi Jones FCIB, in their separate speeches, lauded Zacchaeus for his leadership style in steering the affairs of the local government area, and promised on behalf of the APC stakeholders and party members to continue to support the administration of his “Restoration Agenda”.
